The test puppy on board the starting boat was not blown off its tether, so the Starters decided the race could proceed. Those who competed found the race enjoyable, notwithstanding some strong gusts as well as some quieter patches.
Course 2 was chosen and all except Megisti reefed on the first round. With only Cap'n Hugh and a new crew of one, Megisti had its hands full.
All others shook out their reefs for the second round due to lightening winds.
Crooz started on scratch and was first back to the starting buoy. However, it was overtaken in the second round by Martela and One Mo' Time which finished first and second in that order, separated by only about 2 1/2 minutes after about two hours of racing. Both reported enjoyable dicing tactics on the course.
