+++ SPECIAL INVITATION & WELCOME for Yacht Owners wishing to race with the BPYC +++

Are you the skipper of a yacht on Sydney Harbour?

If so, the Blues Point Yacht Club invites you to come racing. Here are some reasons why we think you will enjoy it:

  • Welcoming environment: serious racing, serious camaraderie (about) in an Australian Sailing accredited and incorporated club

  • Attractive courses and times: race the Eastern Harbour (courses) every 2nd or 3rd Sunday afternoon (calendar) + special events

  • Flexible and inexpensive: join the series or as casual entry, enjoy low entry fees & attractive prizes for podium positions

  • All yachts eligible: handicap start gives any size boat a fair chance to compete

  • Crew and support: we can help you find crew and, if you are new to racing, coach you on the water

We are a small fleet and value regular starters as well as informal entries. There is no long term commitment and we welcome boats that usually race with other clubs. The first casual entry is on us, after that there is a small fee of $20 for each casual entry to a race, or $150 for the Series (12 races) - see sailing instructions for forms.

Download the the details here, it is really straightforward. Contact us any time via the website our give our commodore Bill Steenson a call at 0478 617 191 if you are interested in a great time racing your yacht on Sydney Harbour!

BPYC is a great little yacht club. We get to race on the most beautiful harbour in the world and enjoy the competition with our fellow yachties as much as socialising afterwards. New boats are always welcome and we cherish the opportunity to compare our racing skills with that of newcomers and members of other clubs.
— Carl Braden, owner of Blue Sky
I have been sailing with Blues Point Yacht Club over 30 years and have met many people through the club. It is a friendly club where people are made to feel welcome. We have regular races with courses both fair and varied but we don’t race every weekend which gives skippers and crew some flexibility with their time. There are other events through the year where we gather off water and enjoy a drink at the Blues Point Yacht Club.
